Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has an overall score of 74.5, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's 67.8 overall score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a a bit heavier tablet device than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, but both of them are 0.31inches thick. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it gives you a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance.

The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a slightly better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, although it has a bit smaller display, a way worse resolution of 800 x 1280px and a way lower pixels density. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 counts with a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB and 16 GB more internal memory capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with more CPU cores and more RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 captures a lot better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a lot more megapixels back camera and a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.

Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has just a little bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a 7300mAh battery size against 6800mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, giving up some features and specifications.
