The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a score of 74.5, which is a lot better than the Sony Xperia Tablet S's 58.9 general score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Sony Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 version, offering some extra features and improved performance. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 construction is notably newer, just a bit lighter and way thinner than Sony Xperia Tablet S.

Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM and a greater number of cores. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit more vivid screen than Xperia Tablet S, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920px, a quite larger screen and a higher pixels number per inch in the display.
