The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a global score of 60.4, which is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s 58.6 overall score. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) construction is extremely lighter and thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it was released many years before. Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A (2016) has the older 5.1 Lollipop version and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a bit sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also counts with a just a little greater screen pixel density.
