Comparison review

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), getting a general score of 61.2 against 60.4. Both of these tablets use Android operating system, but Asus MeMO Pad 8 has older 4.4 version and Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Asus MeMO Pad 8 is an older and just a little bit heavier tablet than Galaxy Tab A (2016), but Asus made it somewhat thinner anyway.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a little faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have 4 processing cores, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a greater amount of RAM. Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a much better resolution of 1920 x 1200px, a higher pixels density and a quite larger display.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a superior camera than Asus MeMO Pad 8. Both have the same 1280x720 video definition, a 5 megapixels resolution back-facing camera and the same video frame rate.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a way better battery duration than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Although Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a better device, it costs a bit more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Asus MeMO Pad 8, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), letting go a couple features and specs.
