The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has an overall score of 72.2, which is better than Galaxy Tab A (2016)'s score of 60.4. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is an older, way heavier and a bit thicker device than the Galaxy Tab A (2016). The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have a better pixels amount per inch in the display, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has a way better resolution of 1440 x 2160px and a lot larger screen. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has an inferior number of cores , it also counts with a greater amount of RAM.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a much better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab A (2016). So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A (2016), resigning some specifications.
