Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), having a 62.5 score against 60.4. Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE is a incredibly heavier tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), but both of them are 0.34inches thick. These devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE has the previous 3.1 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop version.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because it has a greater number of faster cores and more RAM. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A (2016), letting go a couple features and specifications.
