The Galaxy Tab A (2016) body has the same thickness than Galaxy Tab 10.1, but it is notably lighter. These devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a more recent 5.1 Lollipop version and Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4 version, so it provides some nice extra features and optimized performance.
