Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), with a general score of 65.9 against 60.4. These tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has 4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a incredibly older and much heavier device than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), but Samsung made it just a bit thinner anyway.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch both feature very similar CPUs, although the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a smaller amount of RAM memory and 2 less processing cores. Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have an equal 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also counts with a greater pixel number per display inch.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a very superior storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a slot for an external memory card that admits 136 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a 70 percent bigger battery size.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has a way higher resolution camera.

Although Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab A (2016). So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab A (2016), giving up some features and specifications.
