Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has an overall score of 67, which is much better than Galaxy Tab A (2016)'s 60.4 global score. Both of these tablets work with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has older 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop. Although it's the best portable tablet in our current comparison, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's design is older, thicker and noticeably heavier than Galaxy Tab A (2016).

Galaxy Tab Active counts with a much better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a just a little lower number of pixels per inch in the display, and they both have exactly the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a little bigger display. Galaxy Tab Active features a little bit better memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a slot for external memory cards that admits 136 GB smaller, it also counts with 16 GB internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have 4 cpu cores and 1,5 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has a graphics processing unit. Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same (HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has a much more MP back camera.

The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has 4450mAh of battery capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab A (2016). If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A (2016), letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
