Comparison review

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, with a 67.9 score against 62.8. These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the previous 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat. Despite being the best in our current comparison, Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a somewhat heavier and a bit thicker tablet device than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a quite better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has 512 MB more RAM memory. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much better screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a much greater pixels density, a bit larger display and a lot better resolution of 1600 x 2560.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a much better (Full HD) video resolution and a lot better 8 megapixels resolution back facing camera. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a greater memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your money.
