Microsoft Surface 3 is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, with a 66.3 score against 62.8. Despite being the best in this review, Microsoft Surface 3's body is much heavier and thicker than Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Microsoft Surface 3 has a bit superior processor than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has more RAM.
Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a bit better display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a better display density, a lot better 1920 x 1280 pixels resolution and a lot larger screen. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a lot more mega-pixels back camera and a way higher 1920x1080 video definition.
The Microsoft Surface 3 features a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a very superior battery life than Microsoft Surface 3.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 3, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, giving up some features and specifications.
