The Microsoft Surface Pro has an overall score of 63.2, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0's 62.8 global score. The Microsoft Surface Pro comes with Windows 8 Pro operating system, and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 comes with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better portable tablet than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, it must be told that it is also much older, a lot thicker and much heavier.

Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit better processor than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has 2 less processing cores , it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a graphics co-processor. Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a brighter screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a way better 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, more pixels per screen inch and a much bigger screen.

The Microsoft Surface Pro features a very superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 features a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a camera in the back with a much better resolution.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro, else you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, letting go a couple features and specifications.
