The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a global score of 65.1, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0's score of 62.8. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 works with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. Even being the best device in this comparison review, it must be told that it's also older, way thicker and a lot heavier.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a bit superior processor than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with a larger amount of RAM. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a higher pixels amount per inch in the display, a way larger display and a way higher 1080 x 1920 resolution.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a very superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a greater camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. They have the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video quality.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
