Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a bit better than the Microsoft Surface RT, with a 62.8 score against 58.4. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT operating system. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a way newer tablet, and it's also way thinner and noticeably lighter than the Microsoft Surface RT.

Microsoft Surface RT features a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Microsoft Surface RT also has an additional graphics processor and a higher amount of RAM. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a little bit worse pixels density, it also counts with a much bigger display and a little bit higher resolution of 768 x 1366px.

The Microsoft Surface RT has a better storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.
