GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s design is older, noticeably heavier and just a little thicker than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has older 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.

GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a quite superior performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has an extra graphics co-processor and 1,5 GB more RAM memory. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a much sharper display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a way better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution, a bigger display and a lot greater pixel count per screen inch.
