Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, getting a 65.6 score against 62.8. These tablets use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has the older 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is older and somewhat thicker than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, it's body is still somewhat lighter.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a lot better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a greater screen pixel density and a quite better 1280 x 800 resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 feature really similar processing units, both have the same RAM amount and 4 cores.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a superior memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 128 GB and 8 GB more internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, although it has a much less MP camera in the back and a lower video definition.
