The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, getting a 65.6 score against 62.8. Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is an older and somewhat thicker tablet than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but Samsung was able to make it lighter anyway. These devices include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has older 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.
The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a way better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher display pixels density and a slightly higher 1280 x 800px resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 128 GB and 16 GB internal memory capacity.
The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 feature incredibly similar processors, they have the same number of cores and a 1,5 GB RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 features a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a 5% greater battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 shoots better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, although it has a lower (HD) video resolution and a lot worse 3 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 costs a bit more than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
