The Xperia Tablet Z has a general score of 68.5, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0's 62.8 overall score. The Xperia Tablet Z is a incredibly older and way heavier tablet device than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but Sony managed to make it a bit thinner anyway. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Xperia Tablet Z has 4.4.4 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat.
Xperia Tablet Z features a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a larger amount of RAM memory and a graphics co-processor. Xperia Tablet Z counts with a way better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a bigger display, a way higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a greater pixel count per inch in the display.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a camera in the back with a much better resolution and a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition. The Xperia Tablet Z has a greater memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 16 GB more internal storage capacity.
Xperia Tablet Z has a much longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a 43 percent bigger battery capacity.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab A 8.0. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
