The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a general score of 65.7, which is slightly better than LG G Pad X II 10.1's score of 65.4. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is somewhat thicker than LG G Pad X II 10.1, it's incredibly lighter and also newer. Both tablets in this review have Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and LG G Pad X II 10.1 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.

The LG G Pad X II 10.1 features a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a just a little higher pixel amount in each screen inch, a way higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a larger screen. LG G Pad X II 10.1 counts with a much better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have the same 16 GB internal memory capacity, the LG G Pad X II 10.1 also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 1,95 TB.

The LG G Pad X II 10.1 features a little better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have a 2 GB RAM, the LG G Pad X II 10.1 also has more processing cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) takes way better pictures and videos than LG G Pad X II 10.1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a way more mega pixels back camera.

The LG G Pad X II 10.1 counts with improved battery duration than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
