Galaxy Book 12-inch is a lot better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), having an 80 score against 65.7. Even though Galaxy Book 12-inch and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) were released only a couple of months apart, the Galaxy Book 12-inch body is notably heavier but also thinner. Galaxy Book 12-inch counts with Windows 10 operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) counts with Android 9.0 Pie operating system.

The Galaxy Book 12-inch features a greater hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a much higher 2160 x 1440px resolution, a lot larger screen and a just a little greater display pixels density.

Galaxy Book 12-inch counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have an external memory card slot that allows up to 256 GB, the Galaxy Book 12-inch also has 256 GB internal memory. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) counts with a bit better camera than Galaxy Book 12-inch, although it has a worse (Full HD) video quality and a much worse resolution back facing camera, they both have the same aperture.
