Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1 version, counting with a couple nice extra features. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is a notably newer device, and it's also a bit thinner and way lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T).
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and a lower number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processor.
