Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab S3 is better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), getting a global score of 75.2 against 65.7. Both of these tablets come with the same Android 9.0 Pie OS, so they should give you the same operating system features. Even though Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) were released with only a couple of months difference, Galaxy Tab S3's body is heavier but noticeably thinner.

The Galaxy Tab S3 features a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab S3 also has more RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab S3 features a sharper display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a bigger screen, a lot better resolution of 1536 x 2048px and more pixels per inch of display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have a F1.9 aperture, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 also has a camera in the back with a much better 13 MP resolution and a lot higher video quality. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 counts with more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 also has 32 GB internal memory capacity.

Galaxy Tab S3 has longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 5000mAh.
