Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a global score of 65.7, which is much better than the Xperia Tablet S's score of 58.9. Both tablets in our current comparison have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 version. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is a a lot newer tablet, and it is also extremely lighter and much thinner than the Xperia Tablet S.

The Sony Xperia Tablet S features a bit faster processor than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Tablet S also counts with a graphics processing unit.
