Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), having a 78.2 score against 69. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android OS, but Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has Android 11 version. Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is a noticeably heavier portable tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), but both have the same thickness.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has just a little better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 also has an additional graphics co-processor and 1 GB more RAM memory. The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 features a lot better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has a greater amount of pixels per screen inch, a lot larger display and a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560.

The Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) have incredibly similar cameras, they have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same 1920x1080 video resolution and a 8 MP back-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has a slightly bigger memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that allows up to 512 GB.

Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has 9500mAh of battery capacity.
