The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a global score of 70.2, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019)'s 69 overall score. Even being the best portable tablet in this review, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016)'s construction is noticeably older, incredibly heavier and a bit thicker than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019). Both of these devices include Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has the newer 8.1 Oreo version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has Android 11, so it counts with a couple nice extra features.

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016)'s CPU is just as good as Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019)'s CPU, and although the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has more cpu cores , they both have a 2 GB RAM. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) counts with a slightly better screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has a larger display, a just a bit greater pixels quantity in each display inch and a much higher 1200 x 1920px resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) counts with a superior camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019). They have a back camera with an 8 mega-pixels, the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rates. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) features a much bigger storage for applications and games than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because it has more internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) features a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has 7300mAh of battery capacity instead of 5100mAh.
