Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has an overall score of 69.8, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019)'s global score of 69. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet construction is thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), although it's notably heavier and was released many years before. Both tablets in our current comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has newer 4.4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has Android 11 version.

The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet features a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has a lot higher 1200 x 1920 resolution, a larger screen and a bit more pixels per inch of screen. Xperia Z2 Tablet features a little faster CPU than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Xperia Z2 Tablet also has a larger amount of RAM memory and an additional graphics processing unit.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) features a superior camera than Xperia Z2 Tablet, although it has a worse (Full HD) video quality and a camera with less mega-pixels resolution. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Xperia Z2 Tablet, because it has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB and more internal memory.

The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has just a bit better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has an 18 percent bigger battery size.
