Comparison review

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a little bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), having a 60.1 score against 59.7. Both tablets in this comparison review include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an older 5.0 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Galaxy Tab A 8.0's construction is lighter and much thinner than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), although it was released many years before.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features a superior hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a larger amount of RAM and a higher number of cores (and also faster). The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a little sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), although it has a quite lower pixels density and a bit worse 1024 x 768 resolution, they both have a screen of the same size.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video resolution, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a much better 5 mega pixels resolution back facing camera. Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features much more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has 16 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a much longer battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020).

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a better device, it is more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020). So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, else you can save some dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), letting go some specs and features.
