Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, getting a 66.2 score against 60.1. Despite being the best tablet in this review, it must be noted that it's also an older, a little thicker and just a bit heavier tablet. Both tablets we are comparing have Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has an older 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 5.0 version.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have 1,5 GB of RAM, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has a higher number of cores and an extra graphics processor. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a same size screen, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has a little higher resolution of 1280 x 800 and a little better display density.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has an external SD slot that admits up to 128 GB. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, although it has a camera with a much worse 3 megapixels resolution and a lower (HD) video quality.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a 6% more battery capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 costs a little more money than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
