Both of these tablets include the same Android 9.0 Pie OS, so you shouldn't see any difference regarding that. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) design is thinner and somewhat lighter than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), although both were released only a couple of months apart.
