Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has a general score of 74.6, which is much better than the Dell Venue 8 7840's score of 61. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has 9.0 Pie version while Dell Venue 8 7840 has Android 4.4, so it gives you a couple additional features and a performance increase. Although it's the best tablet in this review, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020)'s design is a little heavier and somewhat thicker than Dell Venue 8 7840.
The Dell Venue 8 7840 has a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), and although they both have a display of the same size, the Dell Venue 8 7840 also has a higher 2560 x 1600px resolution and a better quantity of pixels per inch in the display. Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) features a better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Dell Venue 8 7840, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB, the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) also has more internal memory capacity.
Dell Venue 8 7840 features a quite superior performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), because although it has 4 less cpu cores (but faster) and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a GPU and a 64-bit processing unit. Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has a much better battery duration than Dell Venue 8 7840.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) captures much clearer videos and photos than Dell Venue 8 7840. They have a same resolution back facing camera.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) is also cheaper.
