Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has a global score of 74.6, which is much better than the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE's 63.5 score. These tablets include Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE has Android 4.0. Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020)'s body is just a bit lighter and just a bit thinner than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and also faster) and a larger amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE features a little bit better display than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), although it has a way lower 800 x 1280 resolution, a lot worse screen pixels density and a little smaller screen.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) counts with a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB and 32 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) features a very superior camera than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has a much better (Full HD) video quality and a way more mega-pixels camera in the back.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE counts with a little longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), because it has a 2% greater battery capacity.

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing here, Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) is also by far the cheapest, which makes it an obvious call.
