The Galaxy Tab S3 is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), with a global score of 75.2 against 74.6. Both tablets in our current comparison use the same Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Despite of the fact Galaxy Tab S3 is way older and way heavier than the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), it's design is still thinner.
Galaxy Tab S3 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) count with similar displays, because although the Galaxy Tab S3 has a just a little worse amount of pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a larger screen and a slightly better 1536 x 2048px resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a processing unit that is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) one, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a lower number of cores (although faster), it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has a quite bigger memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab S3, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has longer battery life than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity against 5000mAh.
The Galaxy Tab S3 takes much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), and although they both have a same size aperture, the Galaxy Tab S3 also has a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back.
