Comparison review
Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is a little bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), getting a score of 60.5 against 58.6. Both devices we are comparing here include Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has the previous 7.1 Nougat version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Although the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is incredibly older and much heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), it's body is still thinner.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a sharper display than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher 800 x 1280px resolution and a higher pixel count per inch of display. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
