Microsoft Surface 2 has a general score of 63.4, which is a bit better than Galaxy Tab A 9.7's 60.5 score. Although it's the best we compare here, Microsoft Surface 2 is an older, thicker and incredibly heavier tablet than Galaxy Tab A 9.7. Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS, while Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with Android 7.1 Nougat OS.
The Microsoft Surface 2 features a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920, a bit bigger display and a lot more pixels per inch of screen. The Microsoft Surface 2 has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and although they both have 4 cpu cores, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has 512 MB more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 and the Microsoft Surface 2 both have quite similar cameras, and although the Microsoft Surface 2 has a way better (Full HD) video definition, they both have the same resolution camera in the back. Microsoft Surface 2 features a better memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.
