Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro is slightly better than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, with a 63.2 score against 60.5. Microsoft Surface Pro counts with Windows 8 Pro OS, and Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat OS. Despite being the best tablet in this review, Microsoft Surface Pro is an extremely older, a lot heavier and noticeably thicker tablet than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7.

The Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit faster CPU than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has 2 lesser CPU cores , it also counts with an additional graphics processor and a larger amount of RAM. The Microsoft Surface Pro has a way better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a way better 1080 x 1920px resolution, a way better display density and a little larger display.

The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 captures better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video quality, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a back camera with lot more mega pixels. The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.

The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a much longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, letting go a couple features and specs.
