Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has an overall score of 65.1, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7's overall score of 60.5. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat OS. Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, we must tell that it is also older, notably thicker and extremely heavier.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features an incredibly better display than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a lot higher pixels density, a little bigger display and a lot higher 1080 x 1920 resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has less cores , it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 takes greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. They have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video quality. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a very superior storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab A 9.7. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, resigning a couple features and specs.
