Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 3 V, getting a 60.5 score against 58.5. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is a incredibly thinner but noticeably heavier tablet than the Galaxy Tab 3 V. Both tablets in this review come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a newer 7.1 Nougat version and Galaxy Tab 3 V has Android 4.4 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features and performance optimizations.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V counts with a way better display than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a way smaller display and a little worse resolution of 1024 x 600, it also counts with a better display pixel density. Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has more cpu cores and a larger amount of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 128 GB and 16 GB internal memory. Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity against 3600mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab 3 V, because it has a camera in the back with much more megapixels and a way better (HD) video definition.
Although Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is a better device, it is more expensive than Galaxy Tab 3 V, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab 3 V. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab 3 V, giving up some specifications.
