Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active is much better than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, with a global score of 67 against 60.5. These tablets include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab Active has the previous 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat version. Although Galaxy Tab Active and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 were released with only a few months difference, the Galaxy Tab Active body is lighter but also thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7.
The Galaxy Tab Active has just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and although they both have 4 cpu cores and 1,5 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy Tab Active also has an extra graphics processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a better quantity of pixels per inch of display.
The Galaxy Tab Active has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, although it has a back-facing camera with way less mega pixels resolution and a worse video resolution. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a slightly bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 128 GB.
Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with better battery life than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 6000mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, giving up a couple features and specs.
