Comparison review

Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is a little bit better than the Sony Tablet S, having a score of 60.5 against 57.5. Galaxy Tab A 9.7's body is newer, noticeably lighter and incredibly thinner than the Sony Tablet S. Both tablets we are comparing here work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a newer 7.1 Nougat version while Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0, so it provides the user a couple nice extra features.

The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a bit faster processing unit than Sony Tablet S, because it has 2 more cpu cores and more RAM. Sony Tablet S features a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display and a little bit higher 800 x 1280 resolution.

Sony Tablet S counts with a bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that supports 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity. The Sony Tablet S shoots better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 9.7. Both of them have the same video frame rate, the same (HD) video resolution and a back camera with a 5 mega-pixels resolution.

Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features improved battery duration than Sony Tablet S, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 5000mAh.
