Both tablets in this review work with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has 11 version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4, so it provides a couple nice extra features. Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a a lot newer and a little lighter portable tablet than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it's just a little bit thicker.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an incredibly better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, because it has a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution, a much higher number of pixels per screen inch and a bit bigger screen. Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 1 TB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite counts with just a little better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has more processing cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.
