The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has a general score of 74.6, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite's general score of 74.2. The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) design is just a bit thinner and somewhat lighter than Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, despite of the fact that it was released around 14 months before. These devices include Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has Android 11, so it offers some nice extra features and increased performance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) counts with just a bit better display than Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher screen pixels density and a way better resolution of 1200 x 1920. Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020). Both of them have the same number of cores and a 3 GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has more memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), and although they both have the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1 TB. The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite counts with a little better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), because it has a 2 percent larger battery size.

So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, letting go some specs and features.
