The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has an overall score of 62.6, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s score of 60.7. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 construction is much newer and much thinner, but also noticeably heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has a newer 11 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a much better performing CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and an inferior number of cores (although they are faster). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a brighter display than Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a much smaller screen, a lot worse 600 x 1024 resolution and a bit worse screen density.

Galaxy Tab A8 shoots clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a way more megapixels back facing camera. Galaxy Tab A8 counts with a much greater storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab A8 also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 features a much better battery duration than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 7040mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
