The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 construction is much newer and much thinner, but also noticeably heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has a newer 11 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1.
