Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a score of 67.8, which is a little bit better than Galaxy Tab A8's 62.6 general score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 is a older and thicker device than Galaxy Tab A8, but Samsung was able to build it a bit lighter anyway. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab A8 has Android 11, so it counts with some nice extra features and optimized performance.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 counts with a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a way worse pixels amount per display inch, a little smaller screen and a lot lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a lot better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM and 4 lesser CPU cores , it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 captures a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a back facing camera with a lot better resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has much more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has 16 GB more internal storage and a SD memory slot that admits up to 1 TB.
Galaxy Tab A8 features a little longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a 4 percent bigger battery size.
