Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) is much better than the Galaxy Tab A8, having a 74.6 score against 62.6. Both tablets in this comparison review have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Tab A8 has Android 11, so it counts with a couple nice extra features. Despite of the fact the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) is older and a bit thicker than Galaxy Tab A8, it's design is still lighter.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) features a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with a higher display pixel density and a quite better 1200 x 1920 resolution. Galaxy Tab A8 has a greater storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab A8 also has a SD extension slot that admits up to 1 TB.
