The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has an overall score of 74.3, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8's 62.6 global score. Even though the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is much older than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, it's construction is just a little lighter and a little thinner. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has Android 11.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with a much better performing CPU than Galaxy Tab A8. Both have 3 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core CPU. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features an incredibly better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 and more pixels per inch of display.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. They have a back facing camera with an 8 mega-pixels. Galaxy Tab A8 counts with a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab A8 also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a bit better battery life than Galaxy Tab A8, because it has 7900mAh of battery capacity.
