Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has an overall score of 70, which is a little bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's 67.9 general score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version, so it provides you some extra features. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a way newer tablet than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it's somewhat heavier and noticeably thicker.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant display than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a way higher 1600 x 2560 resolution, a quite larger display and a lot better amount of pixels per inch of display. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a slightly bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, although it has a smaller amount of RAM and a lower number of cores. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a slightly better camera than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Both of them have the same (Full HD) video definition, the same video frame rates and the same resolution back camera.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a much longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 costs a little more than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
