The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a general score of 72.2, which is slightly better than Galaxy Tab Active 2's overall score of 70. Microsoft Surface Pro 3's body is just a little thinner than the Galaxy Tab Active 2, although it is a lot heavier and was released many years before. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, while Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with Android 9.0 Pie OS.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features just a little better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has 5 GB less RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much better looking screen than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a lot larger display, a lot higher 1440 x 2160 resolution and a just a bit greater pixels density.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 496 GB more internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a much more mega pixels back-facing camera.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs more money than the Galaxy Tab Active 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab Active 2. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab Active 2, resigning some features and specifications.
