Galaxy Tab Active 2 is better than the Microsoft Surface RT, having a global score of 70 against 58.4. Although the Galaxy Tab Active 2 is just a bit thicker than Microsoft Surface RT, it's a lot lighter and extremely newer. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 comes with Android 9.0 Pie operating system, while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT operating system.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 and the Microsoft Surface RT have very similar displays, because although the Microsoft Surface RT has a little inferior pixel quantity per screen inch, it also counts with a way larger display and a bit higher resolution of 768 x 1366px. Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a bit superior processor than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with 4 more cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 takes a lot better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a back facing camera with a way better resolution. The Microsoft Surface RT features a slightly better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a really longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface RT.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active 2, else you can save some money and buy the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a couple features and specs.
