Galaxy Tab Active 2 is slightly better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, getting a 70 score against 65. Galaxy Tab Active 2 works with Android 9.0 Pie OS, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 works with Windows 8 OS. Galaxy Tab Active 2's design is way newer and extremely lighter than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's, but it's somewhat thicker.
Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a little sharper screen than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a quite better 768 x 1366 resolution and a larger display. Samsung ATIV Tab 3 features a little bit more storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a bit faster processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a greater number of cores and a larger amount of RAM. Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a superior battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a very superior camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a way more mega-pixels back camera.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
