Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, with a general score of 70 against 67.8. Both tablets we compare here come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2 version. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 body is extremely newer and somewhat lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's, although it's way thicker.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and 4 more cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has just a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a little bit worse display density, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 also counts with a larger screen.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 captures much better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a way higher 1920x1080 video resolution and a lot higher 8 mega-pixels resolution back camera. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has much more storage to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 256 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a way better battery life than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
